To the south of Chainpur Bazar, there is a small settlement called Wala, a little lower than Falante. In this area, there is a self-made stone Shivlinga in a natural cave guarded by an Unkantar stone. It is considered the largest Shivlinga in Nepal. Above the Shiv linga, there are four big udders of cows made by themselves on the ceiling of Pahra. There are many figures of gods, snakes, cows, lions, tridents etc. all over the watch. This Dham is called Baleshwar because it is located in Walakshetra. The myth about this is as follows:
In ancient times, Farlote was inhabited by the Zimdars of the Kirant community. A zimdarni had a very milky cow, but when he came back from grazing, the cow’s udders were full of milk. One day, Zimdarni thought of finding out its secret. A khurpa was also wrapped around the waist saying that if a person who steals milk is found, he will die with this khupi. The cow actually entered Waleshwar’s cow and started milking the Shivlinga. Seeing this, Zimdani got angry and took the khurpa from her waist and hit the Shivlinga with the dhurna and also hit the cow’s udder with the khurpa to make it a snot. Suddenly the cow immediately turned into a rock and stuck to the guard.
Even now, when looking at the Shivlinga and on the udder of the cow, the injuries are visible as if they had been hit by a cow. From that udder, milk was constantly falling on the Shivlinga, but one day a cowherd ate the milk by tapping on the hollow of a karkala leaf. After that the milk stopped coming from there. After the attack by Khurpa, all the zimdars living in Falante were displaced due to the disaster of Mahadev. Even now, in the area above Waleshwar up to the Panidhalo level, the Kirant caste is not allowed to live there, so they are afraid to live in the forest.
