Khandbari of Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal is a suitable area for cardamom cultivation due to favorable climate and fertile land. Farmers in the region are actively involved in cardamom cultivation, and it has become an important source of income for them. Farmers generally follow traditional methods of farming, which include preparing the land, sowing the seeds and caring for the plants until they mature. After maturity, the cardamom pods are harvested and processed for sale. Cardamom cultivation in Khandbari Sankhuwasabha not only contributes to the local economy but also helps in promoting tourism in the region as visitors are attracted by the aroma and taste of locally grown cardamom.
