Ubhauli parva is a major cultural festival celebrated by the Kiranti community in Nepal, especially in the eastern part of the country where Khandbari is located. This festival is celebrated in the month of April/May and marks the beginning of the summer season. Next year is the time for the Kirati people to worship their ancestors and deities, wishing for a better harvest and prosperity.
During the Ubhauli parva, people, dressed in traditional kiranti costumes, take part in various cultural activities such as singing, dancing, and feasting.
