Until a decade ago, Laharikharak and Chhayangkuti Dada were in the form of Khairate Pakha Dada. After the construction of the Koshi Lhasa highway, Chhayangkuti saw the growth of Basti hotel shops. In the year 2032 B.S., after bringing different species of plants including salla, utis from Dhankuta and planting them in Laharikharak, people started coming to Laharikharak because of its greenery. A total of 41.56 hectares of land in Laharikharak was made into a community garden, and Salla plants were planted. Lakshmi Prasad Gurung, Chairman of Lahari Chane Darzedadan Community Bane Consumer Committee, said that people have started visiting because they have become greener and more beautiful after planting. People go back to Chayangkuti via Vangkhola, Harelo Danda-Lahari Khark-Cavethan. They also leave Vangkhola from Chhayangkuti through the same route. Some parts of Kimatha Gabis can be seen as well as parts of Riu and Ridak in Tibet.

Registered in the year 2067, Khodwari came to the community homestay. After the homestay came into operation, internal and external tourists continue to enter Sekaha. The homestay takes tourists to Laharikhark, Gufathan, Harelodanda, Chyangkuti Danda, Ramite and Deurali Danda for bamboo planting and sightseeing. Harikhark is full of unique beauty of nature in terms of valuable flora and fauna and various animals are also found. Local intellectuals are involved in its development. Accordingly, last year under the Ministry of Tourism, through the District Development Committee, a budget of 10 lakhs was allocated for the construction of a picnic spot in Laharikhark. The construction of the picnic spot has been completed with the same budget. Physical infrastructures such as rest house, kitchen house, water tap, separate toilets for women and men, iron railing around it have been built for living. Gaganema View Tower near Chhayangkuti Danda is under construction.

How was Laharikharak named? Everyone may be curious about that. In fact, in ancient times Harelo, Nibare and Bhotebas Bhotes used to build Mohane (a small house, temple built in the name of dead soul) in the name of their relatives in the name of their relatives. According to the local elders, the word Laharai ‘Laharai’ was accidentally made while making ‘Laharai Mahane’.
