11-Day Milke Danda Trek
Milke Danda Trek is a beautiful and peaceful trek in far eastern Nepal. It offers stunning views of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Kumbhakarna. This off-the-beaten-path journey is perfect for nature lovers and those seeking quiet trails.
You will walk through rhododendron forests with 28 species of blooming flowers in spring, spot various birds like pheasants and eagles, and explore remote villages rich in culture and hospitality.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Khandbari (1,036m)
Arrive at Tumlingtar and take a 20-minute jeep to Khandbari. Check into hotel and prepare for the trek.
Day 2: Khandbari – Chainpur – Pokhari
Take a 2-hour van ride to Chainpur. From there, trek about 2 hours to Pokhari. Explore the village and stay overnight.
Day 3: Pokhari – Nundhaki
Start trekking at 8 am. Walk 4–6 hours to reach Nundhaki. Stay overnight at a tea house.
Day 4: Nundhaki – Gupha Pokhari (2,900m)
After breakfast, trek 4–6 hours to reach Gupha Pokhari. Stay at a local tea house.
Day 5: Gupha Pokhari Exploration Day
Explore the area known for 28 species of rhododendrons and views of Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and Everest. Great spot for birdwatching and photography.
Day 6: Milke Danda Exploration (3,690m)
Trek to Milke Danda and enjoy panoramic views and rhododendron forests. Return and stay again at Gupha Pokhari.
Day 7: Gupha Pokhari – Chauki (2,700m)
Trek 4–6 hours to Chauki. Enjoy rhododendron views along the way. Stay overnight at a tea house.
Day 8: Chauki – Basantapur (2,200m)
After breakfast, trek 4–6 hours to Basantapur. Explore the area and stay overnight.
Day 9: Basantapur – Khandbari – Kathmandu
Take a bus via Dharan to Khandbari (approx. 3 hours), then travel to your hotel in Khandbari or fly/drive to Kathmandu.
